During a meeting with members of the Welfare Committee, the Minister for Solidarity and Social Justice, Family and Children’s Rights Michael Falzon reiterated that everyone must keep the welfare of the elderly at the top of the agenda social.
Dr Falzon praised the work of this committee, while reminding everyone to be vigilant in their work.
Minister Falzon said that the function of the Welfare Committee has an important role to play in supporting the needs of the elderly who are in residential homes.
The Welfare Committee and its function are regulated under the Social Security Act.
