January 20th marked another proud milestone at the Academy for Disciplined Forces, as 50 recruits officially graduated after an intensive 7-month training program and were promoted to Malta Police Constables.
During the ceremony, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà highlighted that one-third of the graduating group are women – a percentage higher than the current female representation within the Malta Police Force. Not only that, but the top three positions in the order of merit were also secured by female recruits, showcasing the potential and talent women bring to policing.
“This augurs well for the future! Strengthening not only the presence of female officers within the Malta Police but also their excellence in fulfilling their roles.” commented Commissioner Gafà.
