Malta were deserved winners in their friendly international against Liechtenstein ahead of their crucial Nations League clash with Andorra.
Kurt Shaw, Gabriel Mentz, Joseph Mbong, Ryan Camenzuli and Teddy Teuma were on the substitutes bench as coach Davide Mazzotta made a number of changes to his starting eleven.
The first half was largely forgettable with neither side able to produce any quality football.
The match turned within five minutes of the start of the second half when Jurgen DeGabriele swiveled around a defender and curled his shot past goalkeeper Buchel to put Malta in front.
It was 2-0 just before the hour mark when Luke Tabone’s header deflected of keeper Buchel to put Malta out of sight of the visitors.
