A 22-year-old man from Latvia was arrested yesterday after an investigation by the Police in connection with the importation of drugs.
The man was stopped as he was entering a residence in Marsaskala. A search made at the residence led to the discovery of 6 kilos allegedly of cannabis herb.
The man is being detained in the Police lock-up at the General Headquarters, Floriana and expected to be brought to Court today in the afternoon (1300hrs). Police investigations are still ongoing.
