United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has pleaded for immediate radical action on climate change, saying the era of “global boiling” has begun.
Intense heatwaves have struck across Europe and the America’s with wild-fires devasting parts of Greece, Portugal, Italy and Algeria.
Speaking in New York, Guterres said, “for the entire planet, it is a disaster”.
In September he is due to host the Climate Ambition Summit.
