Hibernians drop vital points in draw with Sirens

Hibernians dropped two important points in the battle for third place as they were held in a 1-1 draw by Sirens at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.

The Paolites now share fourth place with Balzan and Mosta, two points behind third-placed Gzira United.

The Paolites took the lead on the 27th minute when off an assist by Bjorn Kristensen, Yunusa Muritala controlled the ball before beating goalkeeper Matthew Grech.

However fifteen minutes from time, Sirens notched the equaliser thanks to a goal by Ricardo Correa who received a pass by Kemmu Degran Jackson and pulled to the left before beating Ibrahim Kone from close range.
