The Minister for Social and Affordable Accommodation Roderick Galdes inaugurated a new social housing building in Žebbuġ. Eight new families will be moving into this building that have gone through the application process and verifications and according to the allocation strategy that was launched during the past year.
These eight families will join more than 70 other families who entered a few months ago in another new social housing building inside Sisla in Swatar, Birkirkara.
Minister Galdes stated that families who have faced social challenges over time are now being given a chance to live their lives in a decent and stable environment.
The minister also announced that in the coming weeks more families will continue to live in a new social housing house, this as the program of new social housing buildings continues to progress despite the challenges that such a major project brings with it.
“This building that we are inaugurating today will lead to these new families pave a stable future and continue to serve more and more families in the future,” concluded Minister Roderick Galdes.
