Rishi Sunak has been elected as Leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister.
Sir Graham Brady, Chairman of the 1922 Commitee, announced that with only one candidate, the former Chancellor was therefore elected replacing Liz Truss who stepped down after just 44 days.
