A 75-year-old man from Qormi was seriously injury while burning grass in a field in Triq il-Ħofor, Qormi.
A medical team and members of the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene.
The injured man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.
The accident happened at around midday today.
