The Prime Minister and Leader of the Labor Party, Robert Abela, saluted the memory of all those who bravely left their homes on 28 April 1958 to make their voices heard against the injustices they, the Maltese workers, were facing under British rule.
The Labor Party administration, Labor Youth and members of the GWU accompanied the Prime Minister to Paola to commemorate the riots, one of the crucial events in the fight for workers’ rights.
