A new page has been launched for the sport of horses in our country, because with the establishment of the EquestriMalta authority, which will be responsible for the sport of horses in our country, it will serve as an outreach for all the disciplines of the equestrian sport.
EquestriMalta was launched by the Minister for Education and Sport Clifton Grima together with its Chairman, Judge Emeritus Antonio Mizzi and Chief Executive Max Zammit.
Minister Clifton Grima spoke about the work that has been done to make this dream come true for all fans of this sport, to have more professionalism in this sport. “This is a work that began and continued to intensify when the sports sector was elevated to a ministry,” said Minister Grima. “Through this authority we will see that this sport continues to grow and become much more professional and therefore we will continue to raise it to a level of excellence.”
EquestriMalta will seek to develop the horse racing sector in Malta and equestrian sport through appropriate recognition and regulation, with the guiding principle embracing the integrity of this sport. Work will be done not only to get our country on the international map of this sport, but also to attract quality sports tourism to our country.
