Agreement signed between Community of Malta and Cospicua Local Council which will lead to library restoration

In the presence of the Minister for the Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Bryon Camilleri, Community Malta represented by the Chief Executive Jonathan Cardona and the Cospicua Local Council represented by the Mayor Alison Zerafa Civelli, signed an agreement that will lead to the restoration and maintenance of the façade of the Cospicua library together with the purchase of more books.

This will mean that the Malta Community will be handing over € 2,000 to the Local Council and the Cospicua Library in order to carry out these important works on this library.

The Minister for the Interior, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri said that the Malta Community is at the forefront of assisting and assisting the Maltese and Gozitan communities in a number of projects aimed at making a difference. in their lives.

The minister said that this investment that will be made in the library will mean the strengthening of the community and education while at the same time the care of the surrounding environment is being done through the restoration that will be done. .

The minister reminded that this investment is not the only one in the Cospicua community. “Just last Saturday, through a fund that manages and takes care of LESA, it was announced that the local council was successful in its application to regenerate and fix the open spaces in front of the housing sector in ‘St. John of Gozo.’

Cospicua Mayor Alison Zerafa Civelli said education is one of the priorities of Cospicua Local Council. She stressed that the local council invests hundreds of euros on an annual basis in the local public library in addition to the ongoing collaboration with schools and entities that are in one way or another involved in the field of education.
