On February 27, 2021, Italian shipbuilder Cantiere Navale Vittoria SpA located near Venice, launched the offshore patrol vessel P 71 for the armed forces of Malta.

The offshore patrol vessel (OPV) P 71 will have a length of 74.8 metres and will carry a crew of 60 with a top speed of 20 knots.
