The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the island.<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement was made during an activity held at the ARB Complex, where children and elderly people came together for a Pre-Kite Festival event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival will bring together kite enthusiasts and participants from different countries for a celebration that has become an established fixture on Gozo\u2019s cultural calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minister Clint Camilleri said the International Kite and Wind Festival combines creativity, culture and entertainment, while providing an opportunity for people of different ages and nationalities to come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is wonderful to see initiatives like these offering experiences for both children and older people, creating a space where families and the public can enjoy moments of entertainment together. Through events such as this, G\u0127arb and Gozo continue to offer experiences for both residents and visitors, while providing a platform for creativity,\u201d Minister Camilleri said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s festival will feature spectacular kite displays, interactive activities and entertainment for the whole family, encouraging creativity, participation and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">G\u0127arb Mayor David Apap said final preparations were underway and expressed confidence that this year\u2019s festival would be as successful as previous editions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He announced that night-time shows would also be introduced on Friday and Saturday, weather permitting, in the same San Dimitri area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mayor Apap encouraged visitors to use the Park and Ride service from the car park in Victoria, Gozo, wherever possible.
