survivors.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Government will invest nearly \u20ac1 million over three years to strengthen aftercare services for young people leaving residential care and for survivors of domestic violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investment forms part of a social agreement signed between the Ministry for Social Policy and the Family and Fondazzjoni Seb\u0127, aimed at ensuring that support continues even after a person leaves residential care or a shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The service is intended to provide continuity and help individuals make the transition towards a more independent life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Support will be provided at different stages, including preparation before leaving residential care, transitional semi-independent accommodation and assistance once the individual begins living independently in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The assistance will go beyond accommodation and will include practical, emotional and psychosocial support, as well as help in accessing education, training, employment and health services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For survivors of domestic violence, support may also include assistance related to legal procedures, financial stability, safe accommodation and recovery from trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative is intended to ensure that vulnerable individuals continue receiving the necessary support as they
