Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, continued to strengthen direct dialogue with the Gozitan community during a visit to Gozo, during which he met with representatives of the Gozo University Group (GUG) and visited the Gozitan enterprise Ramla Valley Olive Grove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a meeting with members of the GUG executive, Dr Abela had the opportunity to hear directly from young people about the realities they encounter, their experience as students, as well as their aspirations for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister reiterated that the Government remains committed to pushing forward initiatives that will not only assist young people but above all initiatives that will give them a voice and enable them to participate not only in our communities but also in decisions that affect them. A number of effective measures were also discussed that can always continue to improve connectivity between the two islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the Government’s vision for Gozo remains one of creating more quality opportunities, particularly for young people, so that they can advance in their careers, achieve their aspirations and choose to build their future in Gozo itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Gozo, Prime Minister Robert Abela also visited the Ramla Valley Olive Grove, a family-run agricultural business located in the fertile Ramla l-\u0126amra valley. This family business has been operating for seven generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the Prime Minister was shown around the olive groves, where the olive oil production process was explained, from the olive harvest to the final product. It was explained how this enterprise uses traditional methods and organic practices. This company is particularly known for its Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which has won several international awards and recognitions. In addition to olive oil, the business also produces flavored oils, honey, jam, olives, capers, tomato preserves, dried tomatoes and seasonal fruits. These are made from products grown by the family itself, thus maintaining quality control throughout the entire process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister praised the work of businesses such as Ramla Valley Olive Garden, which combine tradition with innovation and create a quality Gozitan product that can compete and achieve recognition even at an international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He maintained that agriculture, local produce and family businesses remain an important part of Gozo’s economic and social identity, and that the Government will continue to support initiatives that create added value, enhance quality and open up new opportunities for Gozitan producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
