She maintained that the Government is committed to continuing to invest in both infrastructure and workers, in order to continue to provide quality services that make a difference in the lives of residents and improve the experience of visitors.

“You are the best ambassadors of the work that the Government carries out in our communities. Every well-maintained beach, promenade and public space reflects your dedication, and therefore we will continue to invest in your training and development so that you have all the necessary tools to continue to carry out excellent work,” said Minister Zerafa Civelli.

The Chief Executive of the Agency for the Regeneration of Tourist Areas, Dennis Vella, said that during 2026 the Agency continued to carry out a substantial number of maintenance, beautification and regeneration interventions in various tourist areas across Malta and Gozo. He thanked the workers for their commitment and stressed that the success of the Agency continues to depend on the professionalism and commitment of each and every one of them.

During the programme, employees attended several sessions focused on professional and personal development. Among them was a presentation by CEO Dennis Vella on the work and projects carried out by the Agency during 2026, as well as a team building and motivation session aimed at further strengthening collaboration and team spirit among employees. The programme also included a presentation by representatives of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage.

At the end of the programme, the Minister presented certificates to workers who successfully completed training in occupational health and safety, as well as to those who obtained certification in the restoration of rubble walls, which training further strengthens their technical competencies in the performance of their duties.

The event was also attended by the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry for Local Government and Public Works, Emil Vassallo.

<g transform="translate(0,332) scale(0.1,-0.1)" fill="" stroke="none"></g>

The employees of the Tourist Areas Regeneration Agency, who throughout the year work on the maintenance, beautification and upkeep of beaches, promenades, swings, paths and other tourist areas around Malta and Gozo, continued to strengthen their professional skills through a training and development programme organised by the Agency.
