St. George’s Bay will be the centre of an evening full of entertainment, music and family activities during Beach Fest 2026, which will take place on Sunday 12th July between 6:00pm and 11:00pm.<\/p>\n
This was announced by the Minister for Local Government and Public Works, Alison Zerafa Civelli, and the Minister for Tourism, Jo Etienne Abela. Beach Fest 2026 is jointly organised by the Tourism Areas Regeneration Agency, the Malta Tourism Authority and the St Julian’s Local Council.<\/p>\n
Following the success of the first edition held last year, the event is being organised again with the aim of bringing together the community and tourists in an activity that combines entertainment with education, culture and awareness about environmental protection, while continuing to promote St George’s Bay as a quality destination.<\/p>\n
Minister Alison Zerafa Civelli said that the Beach Fest is a clear example of how collaboration between the Tourism Areas Regeneration Agency, the St. Julian’s Local Council and the Malta Tourism Authority can lead to initiatives that enliven public spaces and strengthen communities. “It is gratifying to see public entities and local councils working hand in hand to organise an activity that not only offers quality entertainment, but also promotes education, sustainability and a greater sense of belonging to the locality,” said Minister Zerafa Civelli.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Minister Jo Etienne Abela said that “Beach Fest is an example of how we want to continue to create quality experiences that strengthen our tourism product while also benefiting local communities. Events like this give added value to our destinations by offering spaces where families, residents and tourists can come together in a safe, clean and lively environment. Through initiatives like these we are promoting sustainability, environmental education and culture. This helps to continue to strengthen Malta’s reputation as a destination that offers authentic and quality experiences throughout the year.”<\/p>\n
The Mayor of St Julian’s, Guido Dalli, also spoke, explaining that the Beach Fest is designed to offer a fun experience for all ages, while celebrating St George’s Bay as a unique and prestigious destination. He also thanked the Government for its support, which makes it possible to hold an event of this nature.<\/p>\n
This is the only beach in Malta to enjoy both the international Blue Flag certification, administered by the Malta Tourism Authority, and the UK Purple Flag accreditation, coordinated by the Tourist Areas Regeneration Agency in collaboration with Paceville Town Centre Management.<\/p>\n
Throughout the evening, the public will be able to enjoy a varied programme that combines education, culture, environmental awareness and entertainment. Activities will include demonstrations and information on first aid, knowledge about marine life and environmental sustainability, exhibitor stands including the EcoMarket, a car show, art spaces and free face painting for children.<\/p>\n
The artistic program will also include live performances by Tikka Banda, Owen Leuellen, Dawn Desira, Amelia, Kaya Gurmi, The Subdominants Big Band, Victoria, Kyle George and Justine Shorfid.<\/p>\n
Also present at the launch were the Chief Executive of the Tourist Areas Regeneration Agency Dennis Vella, and the Chairman of the Paceville Town Centre Management, Philip Fenech.<\/p>\n
