The initiative aims to strengthen public safety, promote cleanliness and maintain good order in public spaces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Beach Patrols will operate from 4 July until 30 August, every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday, between 10:00 and 18:00. Community Officers will be stationed at Mellie\u0127a Bay (G\u0127adira), G\u0127ajn Tuffie\u0127a, Golden Bay, Bu\u0121ibba Perched Beach, Qawra Point, St George&#8217;s Bay in St Julian&#8217;s, Balluta Bay, Fond G\u0127adir, Fajtata Bay, St Thomas Bay, Pretty Bay and St George&#8217;s Bay in Bir\u017cebbu\u0121a.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Addressing the launch, Minister Glen Bedingfield said that the Government remains committed to investing in initiatives that strengthen prevention, enhance public safety and improve the quality of life within communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Summer should be a time when everyone can enjoy Malta&#8217;s beaches with peace of mind. Every person has the right to access safe, clean and well-managed public spaces. The Beach Patrols are not solely about enforcement, but also about prevention, assistance and community service. Through this initiative, we are continuing to invest in safer public spaces where families, residents and visitors can enjoy our coastline responsibly and with mutual respect,&#8221; the Minister said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minister Bedingfield explained that throughout the summer season, LESA Community Officers will assist members of the public, provide guidance on beach regulations and safety measures, and serve as a point of contact for anyone requiring assistance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Minister thanked the Malta Police Force, the Malta Tourism Authority, the Red Cross, lifeguards and all other entities involved for their continued collaboration. He also expressed his appreciation to LESA&#8217;s Community Officers for their professionalism, dedication and commitment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LESA Chief Executive Officer Svetlick Flores said that the Beach Patrols have become an integral part of the Agency&#8217;s summer operations. &#8220;The experience gained over recent years has clearly demonstrated the value of maintaining a visible Community Officer presence at Malta&#8217;s beaches. Their role goes beyond enforcement and focuses on prevention, assistance and direct engagement with the public.
