Prime Minister Robert Abela selects Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries in the new Cabinet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the democratic choice of the Maltese people in the general election of 30 May 2026, the swearing-in of the Cabinet will take place tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Robert Abela has selected a number of Ministers who have the experience, competence and motivation to continue to lead the country forward. A number of Ministers will continue to fulfil the role they had in the previous legislature along with other responsibilities. Others, including a number of Deputies who served as Parliamentary Secretaries in the previous legislature, have been given new Ministerial responsibilities. Two Parliamentary Secretaries will be assisting the Ministers in their work.<\/p>\n

The formation of the Cabinet reflects the Government\u2019s commitment to delivering on the electoral manifesto chosen by the people, particularly the creation of wealth and investment in the quality of life of the people. While the Government is committed to continuing to deliver strong economic results, the work of the Cabinet will focus on the implementation of measures that make people\u2019s lives easier, more beautiful and better.<\/p>\n

The responsibilities of the Ministers and the contribution that the Parliamentary Secretaries are expected to make reflect the main priorities of the Government, including the digital sector, housing, mobility and the regeneration of different parts of our country.<\/p>\n
