(R to L) Agriculture Minister, President of Malta and Parliamentary Secretary<\/figcaption><\/figure>\nMinister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights Anton Refalo expressed his satisfaction with the success of the fair and said that this event remains an important platform to bring closer to the people what workers in the sector do every day. He stressed that the Government will continue to invest in sectors that are crucial for food security and the country’s economy.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe strong attendance we have seen over these three days shows how much the Maltese people appreciate local produce and the work of our producers. This is also confirmation of the need to continue to strengthen these sectors with investment, innovation and sustainability,\u201d the Minister said. He thanked all the workers, the organisers and all the parties involved who worked tirelessly to make this edition of the AgriFair another great success.<\/p>\n
Parliamentary Secretary Alicia Bugeja Said said, \u201cThis year’s AgriFair was clear proof of the passion and dedication of farmers, ranchers, fishermen and all those who work in these important sectors. This fair is not only an event where we showcase the products and work of our farmers and fishermen, but also an opportunity to continue to strengthen knowledge about the sectors that are essential to the economy and food security in our country. I also thank the workers whose commitment was instrumental in making this fair a success. We look forward to continuing to build on this success, while continuing to support our producers and strengthen the link between these sectors and the community.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the AgriFair, approximately \u20ac60,000 was raised in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund through the auction and other fundraising initiatives, demonstrating the generosity of the Maltese public towards noble causes.<\/p>\n
Director for Support Services within the Ministry, Estelle Sant, reiterated that the third edition of the Malta AgriFair was a success on every level, and expressed satisfaction for the great work and continuous commitment of all the Ministry’s employees who, with dedication and professionalism, made an essential contribution to the successful implementation of this important event.<\/p>\n
During the fair, various educational and interactive activities, thematic discussions and exhibitions were organised that addressed themes related to innovation, animal welfare and sustainable practices. Special activities for children and families continued to give an educational and entertaining dimension to this event.<\/p>\n
AgriFair 2026 therefore once again confirmed its role as a key platform that brings together the entire community across the agricultural and maritime sectors, while promoting local produce and Maltese excellence.<\/p>\n
