The St Philip Band Club AD 1851, i.e. the Banda San Filep in \u0126a\u017c-\u017bebbu\u0121, has just benefited from funds through the NGO Co-Financing Fund, whose aim is to assist voluntary organisations in the co-financing of projects financed by European funds.<\/p>\n

In fact, this organization has just implemented a project through European LEADER funds, with which they restored the facade of the historic club building located in the heart of \u017bebbu\u0121. This is in order to ensure its architectural integrity and aesthetics.<\/p>\n

Present for this inauguration were the Minister for Inclusion and Volunteering Julia Farrugia and the Chief Executive of the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector Mauro Pace Parascandalo.<\/p>\n

During the visit, it was noted how the NGO Co-Financing Fund is offering an important opportunity for organizations to continue investing in quality projects, while strengthening their role as a key pillar in society. It was also emphasized that these investments not only contribute to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage, but also help create more attractive and functional spaces for the community.<\/p>\n

In her speech, Minister Julia Farrugia explained how, “This investment is a clear example of how the Government is continuing to concretely support the voluntary sector, which plays an essential role in the social and cultural life of the country. The San Filep Band is not only part of our cultural heritage, but also a community centre that brings people together.”<\/p>\n

“Through the NGO Co-Financing Fund we are continuing to strengthen the capacity of voluntary organisations to carry out quality projects that leave a positive and sustainable impact in our localities. This project in \u017bebbu\u0121 is clear evidence of how these funds were crucial in protecting and strengthening our historical and cultural identity, and for this project to come to life,” concluded the minister.<\/p>\n

Chief Executive Mauro Pace Parascandalo said, “It is gratifying to see organisations that continue to make use of both European and local funds to increase the quality of what they offer to the community in which they operate.”<\/p>\n

Apart from the funds from this scheme, the San Filip Band also benefited from the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme , the Small Initiatives Support Scheme, as well as the More Inclusive Communities scheme.<\/p>\n
