Through the dredging that we will carry out on the seabed, we will clean up this fairway that is so important for this sector,&#8221; explained Minister Bonett.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"> The Minister went on to explain that the sand that will be collected from the seabed will be used in another area in Marsaxlokk to enlarge G\u0127ar A\u0127mar bay, so that this work is not only done in a sustainable manner but also leaves a positive impact on the Xlukkajri in another popular area of \u200b\u200bMarsaxlokk.<\/span><\/span><\/span><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"> <span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">\u201cWe are carrying out this project after a discussion with the fishermen where we understood their challenges and thus we are taking action to improve their operations,\u201d concluded Minister Bonett.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Parliamentary Secretary Alicia Bugeja Said stressed that this project is the result of extensive consultation and coordination with the fishermen and the authorities concerned.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">\u201cThis project is an important investment in the fishing sector and for our fishermen who use the Port of Marsaxlokk.
