Prime Minister Robert Abela, together with the Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, visited Gozo where he closely followed the preparations underway for the Carnival activities that fill the island with days of entertainment, music and tradition every year.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The visit began in Nadur, where the Prime Minister met with the organizers of the Spontaneous Carnival, an event that is very popular and that every year attracts a large number of young people, Gozitans and Maltese to this locality.<\/span><\/span> Here he was able to see the work underway on site and spoke to both the organizers from Malta Daily and the Mayor of Nadur Edward Said together with the locals who, with great commitment, continue to keep this tradition alive year after year.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the day, the Prime Minister also visited various establishments and entertainment companies that are organizing activities in different localities around Gozo during the Carnival weekend.<\/span><\/span> These initiatives, led mainly by young people, are offering a form of entertainment that attracts a younger generation and continues to enhance the atmosphere on the island of Gozo.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The day continued with visits to five float companies in their warehouses, where the Prime Minister was able to see up close the work underway on the floats that will take part in this year\u2019s Carnival.<\/span><\/span> Here, the commitment, creativity and sacrifice made by many volunteers to keep this cultural heritage alive stood out.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The last stop for the Prime Minister was in Rabat Gozo where he attended the traditional Carnival parade.<\/span><\/span> Here he met with participants, volunteers and families who were enjoying the Carnival festivities.<\/span><\/span> The parade offered a joyful atmosphere full of colors, costumes and floats, which showed once again how Carnival in Gozo remains an event of unity and joy for the entire community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of his visit, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that, \u201cCarnival in Gozo brings out the positive spirit and commitment of the local community. It is a moment where young people, volunteers, the elderly and families come together to celebrate this feast that is part of our identity. The Government remains committed to supporting these initiatives that bring joy, life and economic activity to the island of Gozo.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
