Prime Minister Robert Abela visits the work and traditions of these times on the island of Gozo <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by the Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, continued with his visits to Gozo where he was able to see up close the enthusiasm and preparations for the Christmas festivities.<\/span><\/span> It was a day that brought together the diligence of workers, the success of businesses and the beauty of the traditions that give identity to our country.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The first visit to the Gozo Maintenance Directorate, the Prime Minister met with the workers who are currently carrying out various works to create the decorations that adorn the roads and beautify the island of Gozo.<\/span><\/span> These works are giving the island a unique look and continue to enhance the Christmas atmosphere in all Gozitan communities.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Afterwards, the Prime Minister visited Savina where he was able to observe the preparation of artisanal gifts made from Gozitan products.<\/span><\/span> Some of these products made in Gozo from which these artisanal gifts are being made will be presented by Prime Minister Robert Abela to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and to various international Leaders during his official visits in the coming days.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The visit to Gozo continued inside another prominent Gozitan business, Vini e Capricci, a company part of Abraham Holdings, where work is in full swing.<\/span><\/span> It was noted here how well commercial activity is going during these festive times.<\/span><\/span> The Prime Minister visited the offices and warehouses where many workers were busy packing \u2018hampers\u2019 and other products that are typically sold during this season.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In these two companies, the diligence of Gozitan workers stood out, with businesses that are always growing and responding to the great demand especially during the festive season.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

After this visit, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to visit the cultural heart of Gozo.<\/span><\/span> In Xag\u0127ra, the Prime Minister met with Aaron Agius, a nativity scene enthusiast who, together with his children, dedicates his time to building an artistic nativity scene for the enjoyment of the community.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The visit concluded at the M.U.S.E.U.M.<\/span><\/span> in Nadur.<\/span><\/span> Here, the Prime Minister was able to admire a spectacular nativity scene crafted with great skill by the artist Jean Paul Portelli, an internationally recognized work.<\/span><\/span> At the end of the visit, Prime Minister Robert Abela spoke about the unique spirit of the island of Gozitan.<\/span><\/span> \u201cToday we saw Gozo full of life with its own characteristics. On one hand we have the innovation of businesses that are creating wealth and jobs, and on the other hand the heart of artists and volunteers who keep our identity alive. It is this balance between progress and tradition that makes Christmas in Gozo such a special experience\u201d, said Dr Abela.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
