\u00a0In the Auberge de Castille, during a consultation meeting on the 2026 Budget with the Maltese Employers Association (MEA), Prime Minister Robert Abela stated that we are moving towards another Budget that encourages employers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He explained how during this legislature, the Budget has always been a reflection of the policy embraced by the Government, a policy of incentives and support.<\/span><\/span> He added that thanks to an economy that continues to show growth and stability, the Government is in a position to continue building on previous Budgets.<\/span><\/span> Here he pointed to a strong labour market that has challenges but they are completely different from those we are seeing abroad.<\/span><\/span> He explained that today we want to see more people taking advantage of the best opportunities that are created in the country, including by employers.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Prime Minister pointed out that employers and businesses are an essential link for today\u2019s and tomorrow\u2019s families to have a better future and quality of life.<\/span><\/span> He added that the country is continuing to attract investment and quality work to our country.<\/span><\/span> He said that through various public entities, the Government is offering a number of schemes that not only strengthen the operations of businesses, but also help them invest in their best resource, the worker.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Present at this meeting were Ministers Clyde Caruana, Clifton Grima and Jonathan Attard, Parliamentary Secretary Andy Ellul, Deputy Alex Muscat, as well as the Head of the Secretariat of the Office of the Prime Minister, Colonel Mark Mallia.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
