\u00a0For the first time, the public is given behind-the-scenes access to explore the creative spaces where the Agency\u2019s productions are born.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Minister for Culture, Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici has officially launched the National Performing Arts Agency\u2019s (NAPA) 2025\/26 season programme of Malta\u2019s three national performing arts companies \u2014 KorMalta, Teatru Malta and \u017bfinMalta.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEstablished in 2023, NAPA is Malta\u2019s central institution for the development and promotion of the performing arts. The agency manages and supports the three national companies, ensuring that each maintains its artistic identity, while encouraging innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. This new season represents a significant step in our cultural journey, strengthening creative expression and giving Malta a clear vision to continue to stand out on a national and international level,\u201d stated Minister Bonnici.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Dominic Galea, Chief Executive Officer of NAPA, said, \u201cNAPA\u2019s mission is to strengthen collaboration between national entities and this season reflects the synergy, vision and talent of our artistic community. All of this would not have been possible without the dedication of the Agency\u2019s staff, partners and collaborators. We look forward to opening our doors to the public and showcasing the heart of Malta\u2019s performing arts scene.\u201d<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The season includes programmes of music, theatre and contemporary dance with 25 performances in Malta and Europe.<\/span><\/span> This comes as Teatru Malta prepares for its 10th anniversary, with events on a national and international scale that include a showcase of three performances from European countries.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Teatru Malta will also be launching an international project early next year, which will provide a platform for the cultural sector in our country.<\/span><\/span> Investment is also being made in employment opportunities in the sector, with this season being the first in which each national company will have professional artists on a full-time basis.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On Saturday, 27 September 2025, a public programme will be held at the NAPA building within MCAST in Paola, which will include: free interactive workshops, performances by Malta\u2019s three national performing arts companies, as well as meetings and discussions with artists and creatives.<\/span><\/span> Admission is free and open to all.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
