The Ministry for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, through the European Union Programmes Agency, announced the official results of the first and second calls of 2025 for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. More than \u20ac14 million has been allocated to support projects in various areas.<\/p>\n

This took place at the Maritime MT building in Bir\u017cebbu\u0121a, which is a professional training institution in the maritime sector and one of the beneficiaries under the Erasmus+ programme.<\/p>\n

This investment represents a direct commitment to young people, educators and the community, while at the same time strengthening Malta’s active role in the European sphere. The funding covers formal and non-formal education, vocational training, youth development and solidarity initiatives that have the potential to transform lives and open new horizons.<\/p>\n

The Minister for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme, Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi said, “The Government remains committed to investing in both education and non-formal training. Through these opportunities that we are giving to our youth and educators, we are ensuring that Malta continues to prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

The Erasmus+ programme remains one of the EU’s most successful initiatives, offering students the chance to study abroad, providing educators with new skills, and strengthening schools and training institutions through international collaboration. The European Solidarity Corps, on the other hand, aims to empower young people to contribute to society, both locally and across Europe, through volunteering and solidarity projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese programmes are not just about mobility, but about personal growth, inclusion and the opportunity for every student, young person and organisation in Malta to expand their horizons and build a stronger and more connected future,\u201d concluded the minister.<\/p>\n

Applicants including schools, NGOs, youth groups, training institutions and even employers, are encouraged to prepare their submissions for the next call, which closes on 1 October 2025 at 12:00pm.<\/p>\n
