During a visit to the Head Office of servizz.gov<\/a> in Mosta by the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works Chris Bonnett and the Principal Permanent Secretary Tony Sultana, further details were given regarding the new operating hours of the Servizz.gov centres.<\/p>\n

This is as from this week all Servizz.gov centres have also started opening on Saturdays between 8am and noon. In addition, the 25 servizz.gov<\/a> centres will start opening daily from 9.30am to 2pm, with each centre also opening until 6pm once a week.<\/p>\n

Minister Chris Bonnett welcomed these changes which overall mean more hours of service for the public while avoiding peak hours<\/em> of the day when the volume of vehicles on the roads is the highest. He stated that such practices were one of the measures in the \u201cReshaping our Mobility\u201d plan, with the aim of services considered non-essential being provided at alternative times to reduce their impact on traffic. Minister Bonett explained that in the coming weeks, Transport Malta will also be announcing new opening hours, with an emphasis on the digital core where a number of services are already accessible online. He reiterated the importance of such measures which, together with others, reduce the demand on mobility and the use of vehicles. “All of this is part of a series of measures that we are implementing as a Government in this area, including increases in park and ride, investment in public transport and new sea routes,” concluded Minister Bonett.<\/p>\n

Head of the Public Service Tony Sultana said that the new opening hours of Servizz.gov centres will mean more than 450 additional hours of service per month. He explained that in an increasingly digital world, we will continue to invest in these centres so that our clients have a full choice of how to receive the best service.<\/p>\n

Minister Chris Bonett and Head of the Public Service Tony Sultana were welcomed by Servizz.gov’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Massimo Vella, and toured the offices where they met with employees.<\/p>\n
