A landmark moment for Maltese football with the official introduction of Football Video
\nSupport (FVS) in both the YoHealth Malta Premier and the Meridian FA Trophy.<\/p>\n

FVS, a system closely aligned with VAR and approved by FIFA, has been specifically
\ndesigned for the realities of smaller leagues that cannot yet sustain the full costs of
\ntraditional VAR technology.<\/p>\n

Through this innovation, Malta\u2019s top division takes another important step towards aligning
\nitself with the standards of established professional leagues.<\/p>\n

Special recognition goes to the Malta Football Association, in particular Bjorn Vassallo, Dr.
\nMatthew Paris and Alan Mario Sant, for embracing the Malta Premier League\u2019s proposal
\nto adopt this system.<\/p>\n

The implementation of FVS in the YoHealth Malta Premier will be financed entirely by the
\nclubs themselves, made possible through the increased revenues generated by the league.
\nThis stands as a direct result of the commercialization strategy for commercial growth and
\nfinancial sustainability pushed forward by the MPL.<\/p>\n

Alan Abela, Chairman of Kampjonat Malta Limited, welcomed the introduction of FVS in the
\nYoHealth Malta Premier, saying: \u201cWe see this as an important step forward for our competition, made possible through the investment of the clubs within the MPL and the financial sustainability we have managed to achieve in just over a year of hard work\u201d.<\/p>\n

We now look forward to seeing our referees, who remain under the MFA\u2019s authority,
\nbegin utilizing this technology from the Closing Round of the current season.<\/p>\n
