In recent months, the Public Works Department has continued to carry out more community-based projects, offering support to a number of voluntary and ecclesiastical organizations.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, maintenance works were carried out at the Parish Church of \u0110ad-Dingli, including the restoration of five wooden doors and two windows in the sacristy. These interventions were undertaken with the utmost care and attention to preserve the original character of the church, while ensuring their functionality for many years to come.<\/p>\n

During a visit to view the works, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Works Omar Farrugia explained that the investment being made in both voluntary organizations and churches across the country strengthens Malta’s cultural heritage, a heritage that, in his words, makes us uniquely Maltese.<\/p>\n

He went on to note that the Parish of Had-Dingli joins other parishes that are finding in the Public Works Department a strong partner in safeguarding our heritage and ensuring that their service to the community remains enduring.<\/p>\n

From his end, the Parish Priest Rev. David Farrugia expressed his gratitude to the Public Works Department for a series of projects carried out at the Parish Church, enabling it to continue serving the people of Dingli.<\/p>\n

In addition to these works, further restoration is currently underway on the church’s pulpit, which will complement the work already completed in the church. The Parish of Had-Dingli thus joins other parishes benefiting from investment in essential restoration and maintenance.<\/p>\n
