The Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri together with the Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation Keith Azzopardi Tanti inaugurated a new A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 space in Gozo, with the aim of this agency continuing to assist and promote the active participation of Gozitan youth.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The event, which took place at the Santa Apollonia Centre in G\u0127ajnsielem, brought together government officials, representatives of youth organisations and young people from the Gozitan community.<\/span><\/span> Through this investment in Gozo, A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 is increasing its presence on the island to provide ongoing support to young people through educational programmes, collaborations with NGOs and community activities.<\/span><\/span> The new space will serve as a point of reference and inspiration for Gozitan youth to express themselves and actively contribute to society.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

During the inauguration, Minister Clint Camilleri said that, \u201cThis project, which the Ministry has fully supported through assistance in the renovation of the premises, is a testament to our commitment as a Government to offer a modern and functional environment for youth services\u201d.<\/span><\/span> He explained how this new location of A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 offers a professional and ideal environment where young people can access services, guidance, and activities tailored to their needs and aspirations.<\/span><\/span> Minister Camilleri continued, \u201cThis is a centre of learning, development and creation. It is a place where our youth can feel safe, inspired and supported to reach their full potential. This is an investment in the future of Gozo. As a Government we believe in our youth, and through places like this, we are demonstrating our commitment to giving them the best possible opportunities\u201d.<\/span><\/span> He concluded by thanking everyone who worked to make this project a reality.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Parliamentary Secretary Keith Azzopardi Tanti said, \u201cThe government, through A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127, is connecting young people and their organisations in Gozo with the rest of Malta and beyond. This new space not only represents an infrastructural investment, but is also a symbol of our commitment to creating safe and open spaces for all young people. In this space, the voice of Gozitan youth is not only heard, but also directs our work.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201d<\/span><\/span> \u201cToday, with four youth workers committed in Gozo and an investment of over \u20ac100,000 per year, we are seeing the fruits of this work. A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 is a true partner of young people and is being a catalyst for change in our communities. I encourage every young person in Gozo to use this space as your own \u2013 to express yourself, grow, and continue to channel your energy and thinking,\u201d concluded Azzopardi Tanti.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A\u0121enzija \u017bg\u0127a\u017cag\u0127 Chief Executive Officer, Miriam Teuma, said that this new space reflects the Agency\u2019s commitment to increasing the quality of services and continuing to empower Gozitan youth.<\/span><\/span> She added that the office will also be an information, training and networking centre for youth organisations and the entire community.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Bishop of Gozo, Anton Teuma, was also present and spoke about the importance of such spaces for young people and for the future of Gozo.<\/span><\/span> The inauguration was followed by a tour of the new rooms and a blessing by the Bishop of Gozo.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
