Sant\u2019Antnin Park in Marsaskala is becoming even more attractive as Project Green has created two areas with sports-circuit equipment for children. The two courses contain gear suitable for youngsters of different ages: one zone can be used by children aged 5-12, while the other is designed for those aged 13 and over. The equipment includes climbing nets, monkey bars and ninja step plates, among others. For visitors\u2019 safety, each item is accompanied by signage explaining how to use it.<\/p>\n
During a visit by Environment Minister Miriam Dalli and the Marsaskala Local Council, Architect Chiara Darmanin from Project Green explained that the project will give younger athletes an opportunity to train and exercise.<\/p>\n
Thanking Project Green for its work in various open spaces, Minister Dalli stressed that these areas create opportunities for families, young people and friends to come together. \u201cThe spaces we are creating are intended to provide experiences, memories and adventures, which is why every project has a story behind it. In this case, this equipment is making it easier for people to exercise in our parks,\u201d Minister Dalli said, adding that just two days earlier Project Green had inaugurated another large area in Pembroke.<\/p>\n
Architect Chiara Darmanin added, \u201cWith this project we are seeing to it that people\u2019s involvement continues to grow, just like every other project we work on, both through consultations and now through direct participation in using this equipment.\u201d<\/p>\n
Marsaskala Mayor Mario Calleja said, \u201cI urge more young people to come here to this family park. It\u2019s important that they make use of it, enjoy themselves, and ensure no vandalism takes place. As a council we welcomed it with open arms because we know that our children and youths need more spaces like this.\u201d<\/p>\n
