Prime Minister Robert Abela visited the Ta\u2019 Dbie\u0121i artisan village in G\u0127arb and Dream of Horses, the Multi-Functional Equine Therapy Centre. These two initiatives, although different, make an important contribution to the sustainable development of Gozo.<\/p>\n

In Ta\u2019 Dbie\u0121i, which is the oldest artisan village in Gozo, the Prime Minister, together with the Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri and the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, met with a number of artisans and shop owners, where he heard about their artistic work and the contribution it makes to tourism. Here the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the Government continuing to support these sectors through funds for modernisation, European funds and incentives for small Gozitan enterprises that want to continue growing.<\/p>\n

After this visit, the Prime Minister, together with the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights Anton Refalo, visited the Dream of Horses Therapeutic Centre. Here he met with the management of this centre who explained how this facility is offering horse therapy services for people with mental health difficulties or who have experienced episodes of abuse in their lives. He thanked all those involved for their commitment to helping people who have experienced difficulties in their lives find refuge in this type of therapy through nature and animals.<\/p>\n

During this visit, Prime Minister Robert Abela spoke about the importance of Gozo continuing to develop in a sustainable way where economic, social and cultural value come together. \u201cThe creativity of the artisans and what we see in initiatives such as Dream of Horses, demonstrate the core of what we want for Gozo: a vibrant community that offers a strong future for generations to come. The measures we have taken in favour of the Gozitan economy and innovation in tourism continue to strengthen this vision,\u201d concluded Prime Minister Robert Abela.<\/p>\n
