Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by Enery and Environment Minister Miriam Dalli, opened the completed projects for the upgrade of the entrance to Senglea and the restoration of the St Michael’s bastions.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister said that this project is another in a series of quality investment projects in Cottonera. He maintained that the Malta 2025 Vision speaks of a country inspired by historical heritage and driven by progress, which promotes a healthy quality of life for all. He said that Local Councils will continue to play a central role in carrying out such projects.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Robert Abela added, \u201cWe have created another open, modern space for the enjoyment of the community at the entrance to Senglea.\u201d He said that this is a project in aid of the community in the Grand Harbour, which in the past has been struggling but is now a magnet for quality investment. \u201cThat is the change that we must continue to bring about and work for every day but we must experience it with a balance in favour of sustainable development so that the community can enjoy the best possible quality of life,\u201d said Dr Abela.<\/p>\n

Minister Miriam Dalli said that with this project we have created another space for people. “A space that I am convinced will be given life, with activity, culture and unity, and this is not an isolated project. A few steps away from here, where we opened the Kalkara square a few months ago, we also find \u0120nien Villa Portelli, \u0120nien fuq il-Gla\u017ci\u017c, and \u0120nien i\u010b-\u010akeiken Ziam. Because for us, the environment means a better quality of life, a more beautiful country, more accessible and fairer for everyone,” said Minister Dalli.<\/p>\n
