The fall in new cases of Covid-19 continued with 101 reported in the past 24 hours with 302 people recovering from the virus. The number of active cases has also fallen dramatically and is now 2,276. Health authorities carried out 2,789 tests in the same period. Sadly, two elderly people died after contracting the virus.

Anthony Debono, the husband of former Gozo minister Giovanna Debono, has been cleared of having used government workers to carry out private work for constituents. A whistle-blower, Joseph Cauchi, had claimed Debono told him to do certain jobs but then did not pay him for the work.
