Police patrols in the area of Marsamxett, in Valletta, at the weekend. resulted in the arrest of two persons in connection with alleged drug trafficking.

During the patrol, the Police spotted a driver who raised suspicion, and when they tried to stop him, the driver tried to escape from the Police by driving dangerously, but he was stopped shortly afterwards.

A search was carried out on the driver where several packets of suspected synthetic cannabis were found, as well as an amount of cash.

A female passenger was also present with the man, who was also arrested on site.
