Police investigations led to the arrest of three people in connection with alleged drug trafficking in Marsa.
During targeted patrols in Triq Diċembru 13, Police approached a 25-year-old woman. While speaking with her, she was seen attempting to hide something under a bandage she was wearing on her leg. A search led to the discovery of 21 sachets containing a substance suspected to be synthetic drugs, and she was arrested.
Subsequently, a search was carried out at her residence. This led to the arrest of a 32-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man. In the man’s possession, 141 additional sachets containing same substance as well as two mobile phones were found. A further search was then carried out at the man’s residence, where four additional mobile phones and three pills suspected to be ecstasy were found.
All three were taken to Police Headquarters in Floriana, where investigations are ongoing.
