Jean Claude Micallef has resigned as CEO of the Sports Integrity Authority following a spat between himself and the Board Chairman and Secretary.

Former judge Antonio Mizzi offered to step down as Chairman while Frank Camilleri tendered his resignation as Secretary.

Both claimed a difficult working relationship with Micallef.

The Sports Minister Clifton Grima did not accept their resignations which Micallef left him with no option but to resign.
