Israel is stopping all deliveries of goods and supplies into Gaza with authorities saying it will not allow the ceasefire to continue without the release of all hostages.
According to Israel’s foreign minister the time period for a first ceasefire has passed and while Israel is ready for a second phase, it is “not for free”.
Israel says Hamas’ refusal to accept a U.S. proposal to extend the first phase of the six-week-old ceasefire would have “further consequences,” but did not elaborate on what those might be.
