They will culminate on the spectacular Mużika Mużika stage at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali. “The festival has received a hugely positive response, so much so that it continues to grow in popularity, both among the participating artists and among the numerous audiences who follow it with enthusiasm every year,” said Minister Owen Bonnici.
Festivals Malta Chairperson, Aaron Zahra said “Next March we will celebrate the fifth successful year of Mużika Mużika; five years of Maltese music of the highest quality. A festival that the Maltese people have been waiting for. Festivals Malta looks forward to presenting a great show. This festival was built on the premise of preserving Maltese song, and not only have we done this, but Festivals Malta has even managed to elevate Maltese song and give it the honour it deserves.”
Festivals Malta CEO Frans Agius said “Mużika Mużika is one of the largest festivals in the Festivals Malta portfolio, with around 150 technicians and professionals working during the festival and behind the scenes. As Festivals Malta, we look forward to joining together for this celebration of Maltese Music next March.” M
użika Mużika Chairman Ray Bugeja explained how the voting process will work this year. “Unlike last year, the voting for the first evening, i.e. Thursday, will be exclusive to the hall, what we are calling the Hall Vote. Audience members will be asked to download an app, from which they can submit their vote. These votes will be collected to be counted with the rest of the votes on Saturday. We are therefore encouraging the public to come to the hall to have a say in their vote on the first evening.”
Mużika Mużika Artistic Director Paul Abela said, “Over the years, since the return of Mużika Mużika, we have heard several songs that have entered the musical history of our country. As every year, we have original songs of the highest quality interpreted by brilliant artists. An element that has always stood out during Mużika Mużika is the live orchestra, and as usual this year it will have a prominent place on stage.”
Mużika Mużika will be staged at the MFCC in Qali and will also be broadcast live on TVM, between 27 and 29 March 2025. Tickets for the hall are on sale. For the latest updates, visit Mużika Mużika’s social media pages and the website www.muzikamuzika.mt.
