Former Nationalist Minister Michael Falzon has died, he was 79.

Michael Falzon, an architect by profession, was a member of Parliament for the four consecutive legislatures, between 1976 and 1996. He was Minister for Infrastructure Development between 1987 and 1992, Minister for the Environment between 1992 and 1994 and in the last two years of the legislature he was Minister of Education.

Prime Minister Robert Abela described him as “a former Minister who gave service to the country.”
