Joe Grech, Malta’s first singer at the Eurovision Song Contest, has died aged 90.

Marija l-Maltija is the song he sang at the contest in Dublin in 1971 after Dana’s “All kinds of everything” won the previous year.

Joe toured and performed around the world and has been a longtime supporter of Caritas, which is run by his brother Mgr Victor Grech.
