Two people have been killed and at least 68 injured after a car ploughed into a crowd of people at a Christmas market in the eastern city of Magdeburg in Germany.
A young child was one of the victims.
Police have detained a man believed to be the driver of the car. According to reports, the man is a doctor from Saudi Arabia who came to Germany in 2006.
