Two people have been arrested on murder charges following the gruesome discovery of a body in a suitcase in the sea of Gzira earlier this week.
The suspects, both believed to be foreign nationals, were arrested in Msida as a result of intensive police investigations.
An autopsy of the body revealed that there were around 100 capsules thought to be cocaine in the victim’s stomach but the victim’s identity has yet to be established.
Investigations and a magisterial inquiry are ongoing.
