The Prime Minister Robert Abela, on Wednesday morning inaugurated the new offices of the company db Group in Mrieħel. Offices made with an investment of €1.2 million and covering 1,700 square meters of land. Through this substantial investment in these offices, 100 group workers are today working in a nicer and modern space in favor of more efficiency and quality at the workplace.
In fact, during the visit, Prime Minister Robert Abela accompanied by the Chairman of db Group, Silvio Debono, met with the workers present as they pointed out to him the importance of these types of investment that continue make Maltese companies. For his part, the Prime Minister supported the importance of continuous investment in the operation and infrastructure of companies in our country as he pointed out that updating with the times remains crucial for the sustainability of the tax market – work in our country.
“The biggest mistake would be if we send a message that there may come a time when there is no need to keep renewing and improving your operation. The investment in the workplaces in our country remains crucial so that in the future we continue to have a strong labor market that offers quality jobs,” said the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abela also had the chance to speak with the management of the db Group, where he was given an account of the group’s work in our country. Among others, it was explained that 25 local companies in our country and which employ many Maltese, were given 25 work contracts in connection with the db project in San Điljan and which in total amount to €265 million. The Group also noted the strong trend in the touristic field of our country.
CEO of db Group Robert Debono, claimed that “The db Group has today spread its presence in several local markets. There is a particular ingredient that characterizes us in each of them, excellence in everything we do. From restaurants to hotels, from contract catering to health and care for the elderly to the international brands we represent. We are now looking at new markets, both locally and internationally.”
