The Court of Appeal of Messina fully acquits Palumbo Shipyards for illegal dumping of waste

After a 12-year legal battle, justice is now restored. In a press statement to the Italian
media, the Palumbo family, stated that the Court of Appeal of Messina, with a final
ruling, has fully acquitted Palumbo Shipyards, ultimately restoring honour and dignity
to the entire family and company.

The acquittal completely overturns the 2019 conviction for the illegal dumping of
waste and establishes that ‘the act does not constitute a crime’, fully demonstrating
how the company's and the Palumbo family’s work has always been motivated by transparency, integrity and correctness.

Antonio Palumbo had already been acquitted in 2021 and was cleared of all charges
with a complete formula, that is, ‘for not having committed the crime’. Today, the truth
emerges for the whole family and business, showing how integrity has always been
the true ethos of the family and company.
