The iStartup Festival will be open from tomorrow until Saturday 19 October, at MFCC Ta’ Qali. This year the iStartup Festival will join the TechXpo. This is the second year that the TechXpo is being staged which will be bigger than last year. At the TechXpo we will see the great advances in technology that we have in our country, with a number of companies presenting the technologies they are working with.
While visiting the final preparations for the iStartup Festival and TechXpo, the Minister for Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri said that they have always understood that technology is the key that drives prosperity for Malta -future. “The iStartup Festival is the cradle from where we can come up with new ideas for our country, the TechXpo is the showcase of where these innovative ideas can lead us. At TechXpo you can experience immersive rooms, interactive exhibits, AI and VR. We want children and young people to come here and experience innovation. We want to instill in them the dream that they too can run a startup, we instill in them the entrepreneurial sense. This is an opportunity for the whole family where they can experience the latest technology as well as various companies in high value sectors such as pharmaceuticals, aviation and technology that are offering employment opportunities with them,” said Minister Silvio Schembri.
The TechXpo will be open from tomorrow until Saturday 19 October. On Saturday the TechXpo will be open to the public, free of charge, between 10.00 and 17.00.
