Several animal sanctuaries benefit from funds raised during the concert, A Night at the Palace

On World Animal Day, the Prime Minister’s wife, Dr Lydia Abela, distributed funds collected during the concert, A Night at the Palace, to various animal sanctuaries.
During the concert, which was staged on Wednesday 11 September, with the participation of the National Philharmonic Orchestra, donations were collected in aid of animal sanctuaries. Dr. Abela claimed that it was a pleasure that for another year they staged the concert with a noble goal, A Night at the Palace, as through it they could collect these donations which are being distributed to various animal sanctuaries.
She thanked all the workers in the animal sanctuaries for the voluntary work they carry out every day in favor of animal protection. She reminded the sanctuaries of the initiative that was launched during A Night at the Palace, ‘Solar4dShelter’, where with the help of Bajada New Energy, the animal sanctuaries will be given free solar panels. They were encouraged to apply for this initiative, where apart from helping them to operate in a more sustainable way, it will also ease some of the financial burden.
