Notte Bianca returns on October 5

 A varied program has been launched that includes performances all over Valletta The Minister for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici together with Festivals Malta, launched the program for this edition of Notte Bianca which will take place on Saturday 5 October 2024.
Minister Bonnici explained how this edition of Notte Bianca will include over 50 activities spread around Valletta and that in total will involve around 250 local and international artists of the highest quality. “A great effort is made to have a variety of activities appealing to all ages, and it continues to increase the value of culture in our country. Thank you for the commitment of Festivals Malta and all the collaborators, for the excellent work in promoting the artistic heritage,” concluded Minister Bonnici.
The Chairman of Festivals Malta, Aaron Zahra said, “Notte Bianca is one of the biggest events in the portfolio of Festivals Malta which includes various activities for various audiences. Satisfied that every year this cultural festival is constantly growing, both in terms of production and organization, as well as when it comes to the quality of the work presented by our artists. Committed so that as Festivals Malta we continue to work so that Notte Bianca continues to be successful as it has always been.”
The CEO of Festivals Malta, Frans Agius explained that this year Notte Bianca is giving priority to various local productions, with the majority of the events presented in the program being local. “Notte Bianca offers an opportunity for the local artist to exhibit his work. Most of the productions we have are original and created specially for Notte Bianca and this shows the commitment and dedication of our artists who always work within the culture of our country,” repeated Mr. Agius.
The Artistic Director of Notte Bianca Antoine Farrugia gave more details about this year’s program, while he understood how one should do to enjoy as much as possible from the projects. “One of the priorities in designing Notte Bianca’s program is variety. Thus, like every other year, we are seeing a varied program that appeals to children, young people, adults and the elderly. This year we have also re-introduced the routes that help our audiences find the project that interests them the most and ultimately plan their night in the most efficient way.”
Notte Bianca is organized by Festivals Malta with the support of the Ministry for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government and in collaboration with 89.7 Bay, Bay Easy and European Heritage Days.
